Akansha Seva Sadan

Aim of this one-year project was to train 30 women in appliqué and 30 women in embroidery work in two batches. The women are mainly from backward and scheduled castes, from 4 villages in Muzaffarpur district. First batch of training has been completed and work on the second batch is underway. They expect to earn income through self-employment. They estimate that a self-employed person can earn Rs.2500 - 3000 from these trades.
