Project title:Small Holder's Livestocks Improvement

Summary:Small holders of livestock, especially women of the backward Sunderban area, will be trained to improve the quality of livestock at a model farm established with two cross breed cows on the Champa Mahila Society premises. The rural folk, who have traditionally raised cattle and other livestock, will be trained in scientific methods of animal husbandry, thereby improving yield and income. In all, 500 people will benefit from this scheme. The CMS has been working in the area of women's and children's welfare since the 1980, and was referred to PPI by ASHA group, which is funding a parallel project in basic education.
